It is agreed that one of the best ways to raise funds for charity is through arranged golf days, and this year Sparrow Schools, a non-profit organisation that provides affordable, specialised education to disadvantaged children with learning disabilities, held their 14th annual golf day to raise much needed funds for the school.
Of course, with Sparrow Schools being one of Artifact’s nearest and dearest CSI initiatives, Artifactors were keen to get out on the green to support the cause, set for the 24th of October.
The day began with a couple of four balls at the Roodepoort golf club and ended with everyone being a winner at a dinner featuring unique entertainment from a 2 man band. Prizes for the day included Revlon hampers with ladies and men’s perfume and cologne, Sparrow hampers including sunscreen (which came around just a little too late for some unlucky sunburnt Artifactors), sushi vouchers and cases of wine.
A wonderfully fun day and evening was had by all, but the best part was a warm sense that a small bit of good was done in the name of charity.
